Last week i installed Gentoo Linux. Not somewhen last week, but the whole last week. My 1GHz AMD Duron was compiling packages from source every single night. When I found out that the random compiler-errors were due to the temperature of my processor rising beyond 90°C I opened the box, got a fan and switched it to highest fanspeed. Everything compiled fine after that....

I messed up my Gentoo installation. Not wanting to compile everything again, I searched for options on how to repair it and got some hints on the Gentoo forums....
